Study Abroad
Paris, France
Kate studied in France during the summer of 2017. She took a religion course entitled the “Problem of God”, and lived within 20 minutes from campus in a small apartment with fellow USD students. Without knowing French or anyone in this program, Kate gained a sense of confidence after navigating through the region for three weeks.
Auckland, New Zealand
Kate was part of a ‘Second Year Experience’ trip that studied world religions during intersession. She lived in the city of Auckland but traveled around the country for more explorations such as a visit to the Hobbiton Movie Set and Waiheke Island. The biggest over gain from the trip was making new lifelong friends and sharing new experiences with different people.
Sydney, Australia
Kate spent a semester studying at University of New South Wales. Kate took a full course load but the class she found most engaging and useful was Negotiation. She was able to live in the middle of the city near Darling Harbour with her long-time family friend and loved getting to know the area like a local.
